Anerobic Sewerage Treatment System
Anerobic Sewerage Treatment Systems admin October 15, 2024

R.B Concretes is the leading organizations providing standalone decentralized primary sewerage treatment systems i.e.,
ASTS (Anaerobic sewerage treatment system) & SAS (Soak Away Systems).

Anaerobic Sewerage Treatment System

ASTS is one its kind and are most reliable, efficient and cost-effective technology present till date. These specially designed system can be used in absence of underground sewage network and doesn’t require any cleaning. The presented technology (ASTS) can be implemented for residential colonies, apartments, colleges, hostels, industries and other working places. Researchers and scientists have always appreciated its working principle and recommended it on many occasions.

In a nutshell, this application of science has proved its worth and it is continuously assisting technocrats and implementing agencies for Human Welfare.

Technology

Basic Phenomenon of ASTS

Fresh night soil either floats or settles at the bottom of the first chamber in ASTS. This forms distinct layers, with solids undergoing further breakdown.

Water Column Composition

The water column between the top and bottom layers contains minimal suspended solids. These particles rise or fall due to gas pressure dynamics.

Particle Breakdown Process

Suspended particles break down into smaller pieces as gases are released. This process continues until the night soil is fully decomposed.

Effluent Water Quality

After decomposition, the water becomes solid-free and moves into the second chamber. This results in relatively clean effluent water with minimal solids.

Role of Chambers

The primary chamber handles most of the decomposition. Secondary chambers are mainly for additional solid settlement and don’t aid decomposition.

Efficiency Through Bio-enzymes

Bio-enzymes (BioENZY) act as catalysts in ASTS, accelerating the decomposition process. This enhances the overall efficiency of the sewage treatment system.

Technology

The basic phenomenon of the system is that, when the fresh night soil gets discharged into ASTS, either it floats on water or settles down at the bottom of the first chamber of Anerobic sewerage treatment system. The water column in between top layer and bottom layer is having very little solids and what-so-ever are there, they are in form of suspended particles. These particles are either going up due to entrapped gases or are going down due to the release of gases at the places where hydrostatic pressure and gas pressure in the particles is equal and get released. By the aforementioned phenomenon the particle gets broken into smaller particles and goes down.

This process continues up till complete decomposition of the night soil is done, after which solid less/nano particles laden water flows out in second chamber from where after further settlement it flows out with the effluent water. The process of complete decomposition makes the effluent water relatively cleans with no solid materials. In ASTS, major decomposition occurs in primary reactor while secondary chambers are used only for additional settlement of solid particles and has no technical use in decomposition of sewerage. It has been seen, that faulty designing of the primary sewerage treatment system, where multiple chambers are used are capital intensive and has no effect on decomposition rate.

Moreover, ASTS technology promoted by R.B Concretes, incorporates the use of Bio-enzymes (BioENZY) in its primary reactor, which act as a catalyst and helps in increasing the decomposition rate of the sewerage and hence increase the efficiency of the system

ASTS is a proven technology having scientific basis for the primary sewerage treatment system.
